After I was burned on 100% of my body as a child, Jack didn’t just visit once—he kept showing up. Through simple, consistent acts of kindness, he reminded me that even in the darkest seasons, we are never truly alone.

This oldie-but-goodie from MLB shares that story: the bond between Jack Buck and “The Kid.” As I rewatched it, I was reminded that one person’s encouragement can alter the course of another’s life forever.
